Congrats to our Big Brother Canada winners Claire B, Janet M and Adrian P; who guessed correctly that Kat Yee would be evicted first!
I have an exclusive behind the "walls" view of Big Brother Canada's season one houseguests for you! I got to sit down and ask a few questions to Canada's newest reality stars. Over the next few weeks I'll be showcasing the houseguests as we lead up to the premiere on February 27th.
Let's start with
AJ (Anuj ‘AJ’ Burman)

AJ hails from Richmond Hill and says that he is already the winner. Will confidence get him evicted or do you think it will help him stay in the game? We will have to find out! Being confident isn't his official strategy.
"My plan is to get to know the other houseguests on a personal level. Be friends with them and try not to annoy them. I’m a talker. I’ve been told I talk too much. My voice sounds too good to keep under wraps. I like to refer to myself as an underdeveloped listener."
Let's see if that strategy will play out the way he wants February 27th on Slice!
Gary Levi

As you know, Big Brother is known for their casting. You know you will always get a true character in the Big Brother house. Gary just might be it this season! Big Brother producers told me that Gary's hotel room in sequester was covered with glitter. Glitter everywhere. It's Gary's thing. Gary is also from the GTA. It might be hard to choose a local houseguest to root for.
Can Gary glitter his way to the $100,000 grand prize? Gary says he can't wait to be on TV 24/7 and have all the attention.
"My strategy is to be really social and friendly to everyone. When you’re social you get information from everyone and then I will decide how to use the information that I get."
Get a glimpse of what Gary is like. Check out the video.
Kat Yee
One of my producers said all he wanted to do with Kat was play sports. She's an athletic and bright character, and I think she is going to do very well in physical challenges.
A part of her strategy is to lay low about her abilities. "I’m going to lay low and keep the target off my back. I’ll downplay my physical ability until the people that I see as threats are out of the house. I’ll also try to be a fly on the wall whenever I can."
Big Brother premieres February 27th and we have a new houseguest video every day for you till then!
Meet Kat from Toronto!
Aneal Joshua Ramkissoon
Aneal comes across as a very smart guy. Almost like a more socially accepted version of Ian from last season of Big Brother America. He's actually writing a paper in college about Big Brother. His time in the house isn't just to write his paper though. Aneal wants to win. Do you think he has what it takes to make it out of the house with $100,000?
"I use the show a lot in my research at school for different theories and concepts. I focus on inter-cultural communication and the art of rhetoric and those are two big parts of Big Brother Canada. I hope to develop my experience into an undergraduate thesis.
I’m definitely going to be a strategic player but I don’t want anyone to know that I am. I’m going to try and come across very young and naïve, and like I’ve never been away from home – those are the type of players that people don’t view as a threat."
Only a few more sleeps till we get to see him in action!
Liza Stinton
Well Liza, from the moment I met her, I could tell she loved being Liza. Nothing wrong with that I guess, but we will have to see how it affects her in the Big Brother house. What do you think? Can you see what I'm talking about in our sit down?
Three adjectives that describe her? "Fabulous, confident, and sexy – I could go on and I will. Awesome, amazing, loyal and supportive. I would say that I’m perfect but I know you need humility to be perfect – humility is one thing I don’t have."
I'm pulling for her because she is from midtown Toronto (represent!) but honestly I'm not sure if I'm going to like her very much haha. We will find out!
She might try to pull the sympathy card. "My dad died last year so now I just don’t care. There’s no need to mask who I am anymore. Also, I’ve never been better looking – seriously."
Emerald Topaz
Emerald is from Scarborough, and she has a wicked smile. As she should! Topaz is a dental hygienist! She's the last houseguest I'm going to feature before the premiere tonight on Slice, but we hope she's not the first one evicted!
Why does she want to be on Big Brother? "I'm a huge fan of the show. I watched the first season of the American version and most of them from that point forward so I have always wondered how I would do if I was actually on it."
"My strategy is to go in, assess the other houseguests and take it from there. I don't know exactly how I should act – should I go in and be super kind to everybody or be a complete bi(@h?"
Say hello to Emerald Topaz!
